A First-Time event for our Club! We are offering Scholarships for Speech Contest! $200 - first place, $150 - second place, $100 - third place, and $50 - popularity by audience. A truly FUN and EXCITING event for all high-schoolers grades 9 - 12. RSVP is MANDATORY. More details below.

About the Event
Each contestant will do TWO speeches, one is a Prepared Speech, on "What do you think is/are important FAMILY VALUE(S)?" The Prepared Speech needs to be 4-5 minutes. Contestant can use note cards/note pages for this contest. A podium and microphone will be available for contestant to optionally use. Another is an impromptu Speech. A topic will be given and the contestant will have 1 minute to speak. BOTH speeches MUST adhere to the time limit. If prepared speech goes beyond 5 minutes, or if the impromptu speech goes beyond 1 minute, PENALTY will apply to the total score.
Once RSVP is done, an email will ensue to provide contestant the EVALUATION MATRIX, so the contestant can see what the judges are evaluating on. The scholarships are $200 for first place, $150 for second place, $100 for third place, and $50 for popularity from audience; so, bring all your famil…
